Trentham, Daylesford and the Macedon ranges are abundant with amazing local providers, incredible growers, local farmers markets, beautiful cafes, restaurants, and pubs, vineyards and caterers that can come to you and cook at any of our houses.

In Trentham itself there are wonderful places to experience if you are a lover of food and wine. There are two great pubs, The Cosmopolitan and The Plough, Red beard Bakery is renowned for its wonderful bread and baked goods and The Trentham General is a truly beautiful café and homewares store owned by the talented stylist Lynda Gardener. There is produce store Ruby Goose, a well stocked IGA, The Cosmopolitan Wine store, a good country bakery, the amazing Annie Smithers restaurant du fermier and a stunning culinary and garden store, Phillip and Lea.

When you make a booking we can discuss and share many of these wonderful treasures with you and make some suggestions that might suit your specific needs. Indulge in long lunches, lazy picnics and great produce.

Both Daylesford and Trentham have beautiful shopping from designer clothing, vintage wares, kitchen and garden, homewares, gift stores, nurseries, the choices and options are endless.

The range extends from boutique specialised shopping, to main stream supply shops and even onto the farm gate.

A recent new addition to Trentham is a glorious clothing store Frankie and Mae in the main street. Michelle stocks an eclectic range of well sourced designer items and some terrific every day wear.

Lynda Gardener of The Trentham General has a divine store located in the heart of the building where you are sure to be lured into buying something unique and beautiful.

Explore & Energise

Daylesford is the Spa Capital of Australia. There are amazing day spa facilities to indulge yourself with and all manner of therapists. Whilst you are in this wonderful are you can relax, eat out, explore and visit so many unique locations.

Trentham Falls, Lavandula, individual chocolate shops, Vineyards, The Wombat State forest, and Daylesford Lake to name a few. There is beautiful walking in both Daylesford and Trentham, Lake and forest.

You can hire bikes, play golf, go trout fishing, attend yoga classes and amazing festivals throughout the year from Chill Out to Spud Fest

If you need to wind down and take it slow you can just stop in. The houses have beautiful garden spaces perfect for peace and reflection.

You can arrange for a massage in house, as well as beauty treatments. There are some wonderful local practitioners.

There are often local workshops that you may choose to engage in and learn new skills and knowledge, from tea blending, gardening, painting, cooking and foraging.
